| Summary |
Study considerd if people categorize environmental issues as matters of morality and does such categorization relate to people’s attitudes and behaviors towards the environment? Participants read and provided written responses to three survey instruments.Concluded people vary in the extent to which environmental issues are viewed as issues of morality. These views predict environmental attitudes and possibly behaviors.Limitations were that behavior was not measured directly and the sample size was 50. Implications were seen that categorizing environmental issues as moral may be important in finding solutions in environmental problems.
