Report of the Jewish Consumptives' Relief Society (JCRS) for October-December 1927; Dr. Philip Hillkowitz was the Society's President. The issue is an obituary and tribute for C.D. Spivak, 1861-1927. Includes biographical information, writings about his early life, an article about his final days, and essays about his contributions: to the JCRS, to medicine, as a social worker, as a humanitarian, as a Zionist, and as a paragon of virtue. Also includes information about memorial meetings, comments from the English, Yiddish, and Hebrew press, two letters written by Dr. Spivak, writings published posthumously, and a bibliography of his works. Six portraits of Dr. Spivak at various points in his life are in this report. Contributors to the issue are Dr. Victor Yarros, Dr. Philip Hillkowitz, Dr. Boris D. Bogen, Dr. Herman Schwatt, Dr. M. Sahud, Rabbi C. E. Hillel Kauvar, Max Shulman, Isaac Rivkind, and Henry Rosen.
