	  	 <description>Minutes of the Board of Governors of the Park Hill Action Committee (PHAC) from a meeting held on June 29, 1964 at the Montview Presbyterian Church in Denver, Colorado. Zoning was discussed, in specific, the issue of the yards of vacant houses where the real estate companies responsible had not provided proper upkeep and allowed the yards to become &quot;eyesores.&quot; The letters of complaint to the companies are included with the minutes. Traffic congestion and truck traffic from Colorado Boulevard was mentioned as an issue. Phil Wilcox, the Chairman of Real Estate, made mention of a survey of houses that changed owners twice in the last year. The reports of the PHAC&#039;s Blockworker Organization, Membership Sub-Committee, Treasurer&#039;s Report, and Report of the 14th Annual Summer Workshop in Leadership Development and Subsequent Recommendations for PHAC are also included.</description>

The minutes include the report on the Denver Fair Housing Center, cooperation with Colorado Woman&#039;s College, a Park Hill conservation plan, and a new philosophy and corresponding programs in city government to keep older neighborhoods from deteriorating. Minutes of the Board of Governors&#039; meeting immediately following the general meeting report the unanimous election of the nominating committee&#039;s list of the officers and delegates of the PHAC&#039;s Board for the following year. Also included is a report of an October 10, 1966 follow-up committee meeting concerning publicity for the conservation plan.</description>

The Human Relations Committee reported on a meeting with the City Council from the previous month, where Spanish-Americans and African-Americans (&quot;Negroes&quot; in the original document) aired multiple grievances, which led to a meeting the following month in the Governor&#039;s office concerning fair housing and fair employment for minority groups. The Real Estate Committee reported on a recently conducted census which indicated that 400 African-American families resided in the Park Hill neighborhood, in certain areas, consisting of up to 37% of the neighborhood population.</description>
